Mummies and Unholy Ghosts (listen) When David Vesel mentioned that he wanted to do a "Spellbound" Halloween special I offered to create a new composition for the occasion and he encouraged me to "go for it". Since the Theremin is often associated with mysterious and melancholy themes the challenge was to create a Halloween-specific Theremin work. Perhaps you will be able to hear primitive percussion sounds (rattling bones?!), moans, screams, and the flight of ghosts (represented by a fugue) that accompany the Theremin solo. |
